BT Clears Broadband4Exmoor Claim

Posted: 16th Mar, 2004 By: MarkJ
Three days ago the Broadband4Exmoor campaign issued a rather stark press release entitled "BT TRIES TO KILL EXMOOR COMMUNITY BROADBAND PROJECT". Unsurprisingly BT was a little shocked and investigated, finding that the campaign hadn't got its facts right.

The information Broadband4Exmoor had appears to have been based on second hand sources. BT states that the group didn't even contact them to confirm and no agreement had been made in the first place. Quite a bit different from what the campaign had originally stated.

In short the Broadband4Exmoor campaign has now removed its press release. Hopefully they’ll issue some kind of statement in due course.
