Bulldog Communications has announced a series of special offers on its 512Kbps, 1Mbps and 2Mbps services. However, of more significance is the introduction of a HOME 4Mbps (AllTime 4000) package, which costs £72.99 per month:
Bulldog Brings High-Speed Broadband to the UK Mass Market
Bulldog Communications, the UKs high-speed broadband specialist, today announced a range of special offers across its range of 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps services plus its entry level 512 kbps service, ensuring that Bulldog continues to take the lead in providing the UKs most competitively priced high-speed Internet experience for consumers. At the same time, Bulldog is introducing a new 4 Mbps service for home users.
Having just been nominated for the Best Consumer Broadband Service in the prestigious ISPA* Awards 2004, Bulldog is increasingly recognised for offering cost effective and easy ways for both novice and experienced Internet users to take advantage of higher speed broadband services. In its latest offer, Bulldogs standard home broadband service (the 512 kbps AllTime 500 service now including free modem**) has been reduced to £21.99 per month - offering a saving of £5 per month over competitive 512 kbps services from BT, AOL and Freeserve. For £24.99, just £3 per month extra, Bulldog is offering a 1 Mbps service, PrimeTime 1000, also with a free USB modem. This service is also designed for the entry level market and offers twice the performance of standard broadband, yet with a similar price tag.
For more speed-hungry home workers, and those accessing content-rich services including music and film download sites, Bulldogs 2 Mbps PrimeTime 2000 service is now available for £29.99 per month and comes with half price connection**. Utilising a unique time-of-day feature that enables users to enjoy speeds of up to 2 Mbps at off-peak hours and standard 512 kbps at other times, PrimeTime 2000 offers four-times the speed of standard broadband at the same price as many competitors entry-level services.
Aimed at users demanding serious speed around the clock, AllTime 2000 is now available for £37.99 per month**, a saving of nearly £7 per month over Bulldogs previous attractive price point.
In response to customer demand, Bulldog has also introduced a new 4 Mbps service aimed at the home user, AllTime 4000. Its launch price is £72.99 per month.
Richard Greco, CEO, Bulldog Communications said: We are extremely pleased to have been short-listed for Best Consumer Broadband ISP at this years ISPA Awards. We believe this is in recognition of our understanding of the customer. This is essential to success in the broadband market. What we have done is create service options that meet the needs of specific user types. For those connecting to the Internet for the first time, we have created an off-the-shelf option that significantly reduces the cost barriers to getting on board with broadband. For the more demanding, speed-hungry leisure and business users, we have a comprehensive range of high performance services to suit all requirements and needs.
Bulldog has also cut the cost of its high-end residential broadband services. For £99 per month, a saving of nearly £20, subscribers to Bulldogs PrimeTime 6000 service can benefit from access speeds of up to 6 Mbps (on Bulldogs Central London network). Similarly, its BizTime 4000 service has been reduced from £126.89 to £102.99, a saving of nearly £24 per month.
(All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT).While
Bulldog may be promoting the 4Mbps package as being for HOME users, its price tag is anything but residential. To be fair we wouldn't have expected it to be less, yet can anything costing so much truly be marketed for the HOME?
