ISPA 2004 Award Winners Revealed

The UK Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has finally revealed the winners of its 2004 awards. Sadly there were no real surprises among the winners, except the award for 'Best Small Business ISP', which went to Fastnet:
Best Metered ISP - Tiscali
Best Unmetered Dial-up ISP - Blueyonder from Telewest Broadband
Best Small Business ISP - Fastnet
Best Business Broadband ISP - Easynet
Best Consumer Broadband - Bulldog Communications
Best National Business ISP - Easynet
Best National Consumer ISP - Freeserve
It may also be worth noting that LINX won 'Best Internet Exchange', while the 'Internet Hero' award went to Steve Linford and Spamhaus for educating people about spam and helping to prevent it.
So what of 2004's 'Internet Villain'? Well it turned out to be Verisign, the group responsible for that "domain name system hijacking scandal".
