Tiscali Appoints New Chief Executive

World-Online's former finance man, Ruud Huisman, is to be appointed as Tiscali's new chief executive; he replaces Renato Soru:
Huisman's appointment still needs the green light when shareholders meet in April. Until then, he will act as Tiscali's managing director.
Huisman has been CEO of Tiscali Benelux and Scandinavia and member of the Executive Committee of Tiscali since October 2002. He comes from World Online International in the Netherlands, which he joined in 1998, first as COO and later as CFO.
After Tiscali's takeover of World Online in 2000, Huisman helped to integrate the business into the Tiscali Group.
