UK ISP
BTOpenworld has further enhanced the online security of its BT Yahoo! customers by introducing SpamGuard Plus, which improves the providers anti-spam and anti-virus protection:
The SpamGuard Plus product identifies patterns of spam mail traffic and removes the offending mails from an Inbox. It also learns to recognise what a customer classes as spam and tailors the service for each individual user.
Also in the new range is the AddressGuard product, which provides users with up to 500 disposable email addresses, which can be submitted to companies or services on the internet. If the address has been passed on to third parties, you can delete the address, while keeping your personal address for trusted people.
Consumers can also find guidance on how to fight unwanted mail with step-by-step instructions at the new online Anti-Spam Resource Centre.Hopefully the new SpamGuard Plus product can do a better job than the ISPs previous offering, which is known to have run into the odd problem. More @ Web-User.
