Nildram Focus On Product Innovation

Posted: 11th Feb, 2004 By: MarkJ
AccentUK, which is the group behind several UK ISP brands (Nildram, Lobsterpot and Trinité), is to re-focus itself toward product innovations:

Nildram, Trinité and Lobsterpot to focus on product innovation…

Leading Broadband provider AccentUK, through it’s Nildram, Lobsterpot and Trinité brands, has gained an enviable reputation in recent years for performance, customer care and innovation. As part of the organisations commitment to the latter, the organisation has recruited a new Portfolio Manager.

Andy Taylor joins the organisation from PSINet where he was European Portfolio Manager for Access services. Whilst there he took responsibility for a wide range of connectivity and networking solutions, constituting over 60% of the company’s revenues. As part of the development of this portfolio, Andy developed and executed business cases for Broadband services across Europe, including the UK, Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland.

Prior to PSINet, Andy was Operations Director for research company, Market Movements, before joining Netscalibur (formerly Dircon) in 1998 to head up their connectivity product set. Whilst at Netscalibur he was responsible for the company’s Dial-Up, e-mail and web hosting product ranges, servicing around 20,000 end users. In 2000 he successfully launched an SME focused Broadband ADSL service.

As part of his new role within AccentUK’s senior management team, Andy will be responsible for the organisations complete product portfolio, ensuring that the product range continues to stay ahead of the game in terms of innovation and that the company continues to develop products and services that meet, then exceed, customer requirements.

Andy Taylor commented: "The Nildram and Trinité brands have a long running reputation in their respective marketplaces – I’m very pleased to be joining the AccentUK organisation at this exciting time in the company’s growth." He continued: “Product innovation is key to the future and we expect to be able to launch some exciting additions to the portfolio in coming months – watch this space!”

Sean Stephenson, Managing Director sums up: “We are delighted to welcome Andy onto the team. Our focus in the next few months will be to enhance our extensive portfolio, increasing the number of value added services to meet the future needs of our customers, as well as potential new markets. As our Portfolio Manager, Andy has the relevant experience and is ideally placed to drive this forward.”

True innovation in a static ISP industry isn’t the easiest thing to do, so we’ll be eager to see just what ‘exciting additions’ will be introduced.
