Mobile Internet Surfing Proves Popular

The Mobile Data Association's (MDA) latest statistics show that mobile phone based Internet surfing (WAP) is more popular than ever, reaching 1.4 billion page views during March 2004:
It is the highest monthly figure recorded with 45 million web pages viewed per day, which is more than double the daily average of 18 million for the same period last year.
The MDA predicts that the number of web pages viewed from mobile phones will reach a total of 13 billion in 2004.
This would appear to suggest that the online features of forthcoming 3G broadband wireless mobile phones could prove more popular than some had first expected.
