Over 50 years old? If so then you probably won't want to be reminded of it, unfortunately you're about to be because today is Silver Surfers' Day. It's a date designed to encourage the more mature among you to get online:
Events are taking place at football clubs, livestock auctions, bingo halls, hospitals, pubs and libraries across the UK to mark Silver Surfers' Day on Friday 21 May.
The day is being co-ordinated by Hairnet - a 'social enterprise' which aims to combat digital exclusion by making technology relevant to people's lives.
Hairnet has set up a freephone number (0800 100 900) so that anyone interested can find out what is happening in their area.Yes folks, as one gets older there's nothing quite like those "special" days where everybody helps you to remember just how ancient you really are ;) - god bless them!
On the bright side some of the events are being held in pubs (say no more). More @
