Pipex customers may find they can not establish a connection or check email due to a major network problem.
A major networking issue is affecting the PIPEX Docklands ADSL POP.
Symptoms: Connection may not be possible for customers on the @xtreme3 and @xtreme4 realms.
Email retrieval is currently not possible, due to servers being inaccessible.
Actions: Do not change any of your system settings - the issue is within the network.
A major incident team is already at work but service may not be restored immediately.
PIPEX sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused by this problem.
As the update suggests it is only affecting customers with certain login details, however it would appear that all Pipex email servers are currently down.
We will let you know any more details as they become available.

Between approximately 10pm and 11pm tonight (Thursday 15 April) a major networking issue affected the link between the PIPEX Docklands and PIPEX North London ADSL POPs.
Symptoms: This resulted in a number of servers being inaccessible. Consequently, email retrieval was not possible and there will be delays to delivery of some incoming email. The servers themselves, however, are unaffected and are working normally. No email will be lost.
Connection to ADSL may also not have been possible for some customers on @xtreme3 and @xtreme4.
Some other servers (eg the PIPEX Web server) may not have been reachable for some customers for the same reason.
Actions: PIPEX sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused by this problem, which is now resolved.
Service should now be returning to normal for all customers. One of our members, Ben advised us his email service is now working ok.
