Exa Offers FREE Business Dialup

Posted: 28th Jun, 2004 By: MarkJ
Exa Networks is, until 5th July 2004, offering its business class local call rate dialup (0845) service for free. Unlike most residential dialups, Exa's business offer has 500MB e-mail storage and anti-virus/spam features etc.:

Free Subscription to Exa Networks Business Dial-up Account

Internet Service Provider Exa Networks has a seven day, time limited offer for new dial-up Internet and email connections, saving up to £120 a year per account.

The offer waives the usual £10 per month (or £108 annual) service charge, and business customers signing up for the service before the 5th July 2004, will receive free subscription to the service for as long as they wish to use it, so the savings compound year on year.

Exa’s business dial-up accounts have many advantages over standard “free home user” dial-up services including:

• 56Kbps Modem or ISDN connectivity
• 500MB email storage (250 times the limit of Hotmail)
• Unlimited number of email addresses
• Email virus scanning
• Spam tagging, for use with customers own spam filtering software
• Static IP address on request
• Very low contention ratio (ten times lower than most home user ISP’s), allowing customers to connect to the Internet when they want, without fear of engaged tones
• Technical support available via a standard local rate call, no premium charges

“With so many people these days talking only about broadband, it’s very easy to forget that some people do not need 24 hour fast connectivity” Said Managing Director, Mark Cowgill.

“According to the latest statistics, most business Internet users spend less than one and a half hours per week online, so subscribing to an unlimited connection package or broadband makes little or no financial sense.”

He added, “There are many “free” 0845 services in the market place, but the majority are aimed squarely at the home user, and tend to be rather limited in their services and support. However, Exa Networks is an ISP dedicated to offering services that businesses can depend and rely on.”
