Hundreds of NTLs Internet access customers were left without a connection yesterday after a utility company severed one of the operators cables in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire:
The incident wasn't reported immediately and because of a suspected gas leak, NTL engineers weren't able to begin repairing the damage until midnight.
Services were up and running by around 7.30am this morning although there are still "small pockets" where services have yet to be restored.Rumours are also floating around that NTL is preparing to announce a £3 price hike (to £37.99 per month) on its 1Mbps broadband cable modem service. More @
