V Two One ISP Revamps Portal

Posted: 25th Mar, 2004 By: MarkJ
UK ISP V Two One (V21) has revamped its portal (website) with the goal of offering extra features, while still making it simple to navigate:

NEW CONTENT PORTAL FOR TOP UK ISP V TWO ONE WITH FREE DOWNLOADS INCLUDING FAMILY-FRIENDLY BROWSER AND INTELLIGENT DIALLER

Top UK ISP V Two One (www.v21.co.uk) has updated its interface for home web users and added a variety of extra features to the services on offer, making it even simpler to navigate through the wide range of options on the portal, such as quick links to subject-specific shopping sites, mobile phone icons and ring tones and the hugely popular free software downloads.

All web users can take advantage of the free software available on V Two One’s new portal, including the Quick Intelligent Dialler Version 2, an instant software download that speeds up a computer’s dial-up process by automatically selecting the most suitable connection.

Also up for grabs is V Two One’s acclaimed family-friendly browser. Allowing children the freedom to surf the Internet securely and in a safe environment, the newly updated Family Browser can be downloaded free of charge on V Two One’s home page.

The Family Browser is easy to install and use, so that parents will not be deterred by complicated instructions or new technology. The browser automatically scans all web pages for adult content or content specified by the user as inappropriate before displaying the search results or pages. If a parent or teacher finds unsuitable sites, or has specific sites that need to be blocked, the user is able to amend the domains section within the parental controls accordingly.

V Two One’s Family Browser combines a large number of standard Internet Explorer functions, making it easy to use and familiar to anyone who has accessed the Internet before.

The browser also combines a selection of additional features that are fully customisable. Not only is the filtering system easy to install, it is even easier to switch on and off. During times when children are likely to want access to the Internet parents are able to allow them to surf freely, confident that they will not be exposed to unsuitable content.

A non stop streaming music machine, playing everything from the best chart topping singles to the most sought after underground sounds is V Two One’s latest offering to anyone who logs on and tunes in. Available free of charge on the home page, web users need only click and start listening to the hottest sounds of 2004 immediately.

A wide selection of interactive online games are also freely available, as well as car insurance, mobile phone deals and a television guide. Steve Kaye, Managing Director, V Two One, enthused, “V Two One’s updated members portal offers a greater selection of free services and downloads, and has already proved popular with our customers. We are looking forward to many more web users logging on to take advantage of the free Family Browser and Intelligent Dialler.”
