Energis & AXiOSS Offer BB Choice

Posted: 01st Jun, 2004 By: MarkJ
UK Telecoms and ISP supplier Energis has chosen the AXiOSS® Suite to provision ISP broadband services throughout the country. The move will result in more choice, such as variable line speed and contention ratios:

Energis Deploys Axiom Systems to Meet Aggressive Demand For Broadband Services

Reading, United Kingdom, 1 June 2004, Axiom Systems Ltd, a leading provider of service fulfilment solutions for telecommunications, today announced that one of the UK's largest service providers, Energis, has chosen the AXiOSS® Suite to provision Internet Service Provider (ISP) broadband services throughout the United Kingdom.

Energis plays a major part in supporting many of the UK's ISPs. With the number of broadband users in the UK currently expanding at around 10% per month, a corresponding increase in ISP resources is required if service levels are to remain at an acceptable standard and customers are to have choice.

Provisioned by Axiom Systems, the Energis ISP broadband offering will not only ensure that broadband adoption continues, but will also enable Energis to segment their proposition into different levels of service and price. The variations will include variable line speed and contention ratios (the number of users per line).

AXiOSS® simplifies and streamlines the activation of broadband, enabling Energis to automate the fulfilment of new and existing DSL-based services quickly and efficiently. The solution also offers a number of tangible benefits which include:

- Fast service introduction

- The ability to create a varied range of services to expand customer choice

- Improved automation of service delivery workflow, including automated service activation and rollback when necessary

- Reduced order fulfilment times and increased customer satisfaction

- Synchronisation of resource database with the live network equipment

- Improved scalability and performance

In addition to the AXiOSS® Order Management, Inventory Management and Service Activation products, Energis will also be using the AXiOSS® Dashboard to enhance the visibility of the entire provisioning process. This product will specifically facilitate a real-time executive view of the provisioning process identifying order trends, order throughput, failure analysis and inventory status.

More than forty per cent of FTSE 100 companies rely on Energis to support their telecoms and Internet operations.
