The UK market intelligence firm, Infonetics Research, has predicted that sales of 'Broadband Gateway' hardware will grow by 29% to £537m come 2006:
Infonetics Research said it expected the total number of broadband gateway units shipped to rocket by 117 per cent to 16.3 million by 2006.
The analyst's Broadband Gateway Report found that the strong growth, building on revenues of $645m from the 7.5 million devices shipped in 2002, was being driven by broadband adoption.
"The overall worldwide growth of the market will be driven ... by widespread broadband adoption and falling broadband gateway prices," said Infonetics Research's Richard Webb, lead analyst of the report, in a statement.More @
