The second
Digital Download Day has finally kicked off today and is being touted as the biggest online legal music giveaway. There's a choice from 170,000 tracks by over 7,500 artists:
Digital Download Day, organised by digital music company OD2, gives music fans £3 worth of free tracks to stream, download or burn on to CD. Tracks are accessible free of charge at sites including HMV, Tiscali, Freeserve and MTV from 9 to 16 April.
According to OD2, an estimated 4.5 million people are accessing a total of almost one billion pirated tracks at any one time. Digital Download Day is aimed at encouraging music fans to download officially released digital music.The
