Malvern Hills Drop e-Voting Trial

The Governments failure to give its full approval has led to Councillors in the Malvern Hills dropping their planned May'03 e-Voting trials:
Malvern Hills District Council (MHDC) - which had been working with BT to run the Internet-voting project - was recently named as one of 18 authorities to trial evoting.
But the Malvern Gazette reports that the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) failed to give the scheme its full approval.
Unfortunately no reason is given for the lack of approval, although one out of 18 authorities isn't a total loss. More @ The Register.
