Online banking has apparently become so popular that it's now almost considered an addiction, bar a few bad points:
This so-called "hyperactive customer" visits their online bank on average 5.7 times a month and spends around 37 minutes each month managing their finances.
The research from analyst firm eBenchmarkers reveals that online banks get about 31 million visits a month to their websites - and almost ten million transactions are now performed each month on the internet instead of at a bank branch or call centre.
Money-sending transactions online are also expected to grow from by 37 per cent from 100 million in 2002 to 137 million in 2003.Unfortunately the
Web-User item notes that roughly 50% of online banking registrants never use the service because of technical and usability issues.
