The Mirror newspaper has taken an entertaining swipe at the controversial 'FreeBroadband' (FreeBB) ISP, which we reported on earlier in the year:
In an email to those who registered for news, FreeBB's front woman Bev Harrison gives it all away. She says: "We were disappointed that less than 1 per cent of you expressed any interest in a site about Life Assurance we introduced you to."
"Unless more members take advantage of our linked sites and offers, we will be unable to support a free broadband service."
Duh! Harrison should soon realise that it's not just dotcom-weary journalists who are cynical about this kind of set-up, but so are many net users who've been burnt by fly-by-night net companies.
We agree, especially since FreeBB hasnt even delivered a service yet, its almost comical.
