Tiscali's UK ISP wing CEO, Sergio Cellini, is to move back to Italy after accepting a position as the Managing Director (MD) of Tiscali Italy:
Mary Turner, who is currently MD at Tiscali UK, will replace Cellini. Turner joined Tiscali through the company's acquisition of ISP LineOne in May 2001. Prior to that, she was general manager for AOL/Bertelsmann/Compuserve Information Services.
Over the last two years, she has supported Cellini in bringing Tiscali UK to profitability and the position of the fourth largest ISP in the UK market.
Cellini has been at the UK business for two and a half years. As well as bringing the company to profitability, he has overseen a number of acquisitions including Liberty Surf, World Online, LineOne, Tiny ISP and Gateway ISP.Cellini is not, however, expected to resign his post on the Tiscali UK board of directors.
