It appears as if Sniffout did finally manage to return much of its service to normal late yesterday evening, although Easynet ended up being blamed for the problems. Sadly some issues remain:

We regret that Easynet's engineers have so far been unable to successfully resolve the failure of one of it's routers. This continues to cause the loss of all services, with the exception of customers' dial-in connection to the Internet, which is working normally. The problem, as identified by Easynet, is that it's circuit is only able to handle 'ping' and similar low level data. Normal Internet traffic will not flow over the circuit.
There were losses of dial-in connection for all customers between 14:25 and 15:20, and again briefly at approx. 20:45, yesterday. Both occurred when Easynet's engineers attempted to introduce a replacement router to resolve the issue. On each occasion Easynet reverted to the original equipment to restore the dial-in service again.
Easynet has now agreed that our own appointed consultants will work with its engineers today to resolve this issue.
We appreciate, and apologies for, the inconvenience that this will be causing our valued customers. We are hopeful that the involvement of our own appointed technicians will now ensure that this unacceptable situation is resolved with the all speed.
