It's been reported that the UK Internet Service Providers Association (
ISPA) has urged the government to better regulate the broadband industry, thus helping to stimulate growth:
The industry body has been presenting evidence to the Trade and Industry Select Committee Inquiry into Broadband, and has made numerous recommendations to help boost broadband take-up in the UK, where less than one in ten homes are connected to the so-called 'high-speed' internet.
ISPA wants trigger levels to be set for all exchanges and believes that costs need to be reduced to lure the mass market towards broadband.We're unlikely to see any future 'significant' price cuts to residential services, although there may still be room for a few smaller ones.
