Heat Problem Hits BTs Leased-Lines

BT has confirmed that 'some' of its leased-line customers may have been affected by service outages, which were apparently due to the recent heat wave:
A BT spokesman told us: "The air conditioning and cooling systems in exchanges have been working flat out in the heat."
Even so, he confirmed that there had been some "leased-line outages" reported but explained that it was not a widespread problem.
