It would appear as if the broadband satellite supplier 'SCS Broadband', which helps to serve ISPs like JetStream and BlueStream, has withdrawn its service. Our sources have intercepted the following letter.
The message appears to have been written by Mike Jeffery, SCS's Managing Director, and is as follows:
I am writing to you with some important information about your SCS Broadband Service.
Following a review of our products and services we have decided to withdraw from offering Broadband Connectivity via satellite. In order that you do not suffer any interruption in service, we are migrating all our existing customer accounts to New Wave Communications Ltd. They are able to offer you exactly the same service, and we are confident that they will also be able to provide an enhanced level of customer support.
New Wave is an experienced Broadband provider based in Hampshire, England and we are working closely with them to ensure that the transfer of accounts will be as smooth as possible.
New Wave will be contacting you about transferring your account in the next 14-21 days. In the meantime there should be no interruption to the service you already have. Should you have any questions about this change you are welcome to call New Wave Communications on their dedicated migration telephone line on 0870 *******.
It is not yet known why SCS Broadband has opted to withdraw its service or the full list of those ISPs effected.
