While many ISPs said they wouldn't, it was almost inevitable that some would. Today Plusnet has the unfortunate task of being the first ISP to RAISE the cost of its BT based 2Mbps broadband ADSL service by £5.

The total cost of its BT IPStream based Office 2000 product now stands @ £43 +vat per month. The move is as a response to last months 'wholesale' price rises for the same product by BT.

It's expected that other providers, especially those running on a tight margin, will be forced to follow suit. Those whom typically charge that little bit extra may escape having to introduce such an increase.
