Bulldog Appoints Broadband Industry Veteran, Martin Jowett, to the Role of Chief Operating Officer
Bulldog Communications, the high-speed broadband specialist and DSL broadband network operator serving both the UK residential and business markets, announced today the appointment of Martin Jowett as Chief Operating Officer.
Martin joins Bulldog with over 20 years of IT and telecoms experience. Most recently, Martin was Director at Nildram Ltd., one of the most widely respected, premier suppliers of DSL services in the UK. Under Martin's leadership of the sales, marketing, customer care and operations divisions, Nildram experienced significant growth, while maintaining independently substantiated high standards for customer care.
Prior to Nildram, Martin was Business Development Director for the Internet division of cable broadband giant, National Transcommunications Ltd (ntl). Martin was closely involved in ntl's cable modem broadband trials and in building key partnering and channel distribution opportunities. As a precursor to his business development role at ntl, Martin was Managing Director of the ntl subsidiary, Secure Backup Systems. While there, he focussed on delivering a robust, fault-tolerant backup solution for PC networks while managing technical support, sales, and operations.
Richard Greco, Bulldog's CEO, remarked, "Martin's extensive broadband experience and record for success will further position Bulldog to execute on its strategy and drive the business forward. Martin is ideally suited to bring together the systems, processes and network infrastructure to deliver high quality broadband solutions." Martin said, "Bulldog has enjoyed impressive growth, particularly in the supply of 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps services. My priorities are to enhance the customer experience and continue to develop innovative, affordable broadband services for our channel partners, direct consumers and small to medium enterprises. We will deliver the broadband services they want, when, and how they want them."
