Lothian Broadband (Highland Broadband) Reviews

The broadband speed and reliability is great. Getting about 2.3gbps up and down. Only had about 3 or 4 outages the longest being about 45 minutes and they usually send out an email to let you know about the issue and expected resolution time.

For support they're okay though I've had a couple of issues where they said they'd get back to me and I had to chase them up as things hadn't been noted down. Other than that support has been fine.

The kit sent out with the PureFibre 2000 package isn't up to the task. It only has a 2.5gbps WAN port and 4 gigabit LAN ports with WiFi 6 so if you want to access the full speed of your connection on your computer you need to buy yourself a router with a 2.5gbps Lan port.

Another issue is that by default all connections use CGNAT without IPv6 so if you want to play games which require ports being opened then you need to pay an additional £2.99 per month for the static IPv4 address and IPv6 is not supported at this time.
