Tempted of course by the promise of 2.5Gbit, I asked them to connect both my home and the little B&B I run.
Alas, City Fibre not quite ready - but they offered to connect me via Openreach - and then switch when city fibre is ready. Sounded reasonable - so went ahead.
To cut a long story short, today marks SIX WEEKS without service at home - and almost SIX WEEKS at the little B&B.
I have paid so far £99 for a fibre router which has never arrived, two lots of £50+ for service which is not provided (despite having an email telling me the invoice had been cancelled, the bank seems to reckon it went through).
Frustratingly, after weeks, my mobile broadband rollover has long since gone - and you have the odd issue - that you cannot telephone Yayzi customer support. No. You need access to the internet to explain that you cannot access the internet. You can do that via on online chat thing, email or whatsapp. All pretty much useless if you cannot get online.
In desperation, I am now looking at issuing a Letter Before Action, before going to Small Claims - as alas Ofcom's Dispute Resolution Process, cannot help until EIGHT WEEKS have passed.
Don't fall for the 2.5Gbit promise - if you are unlucky as me - you will be paying out HUNDREDS before getting a single byte of data - at EITHER of TWO locations.
Happy to provide emails if wanted!
