I've been with these guys for many years, and in that time have recommended them to many clients, colleagues & friends.

However, support is not what it used to be, and performance has been in steady decline - latency in particular has been terrible in the last couple of months. Approximately 10% of pages fail to respond before timeout; you need to re-request the page very frequently. Once you've got a connection the speed doesn't seem too bad. They never were the cheapest provider, but I was always prepared to pay a little premium for decent service and support. Now they just feel outright expensive.

The nail in the coffin for me has been their recent change to Postini spam filtering. It is so aggresive, even on the lowest available setting, that I've had no option but to turn it off. This is extremely painful as I use a metered Vodafone connection to retrieve mail while travelling and having to turn off spam filtering due to the insane proportion of false positives (i've had BA eTickets, Avis booking confirmations, BMI eTickets all blocked in addition to several personal contacts unable to email me) is costing me money. The support tell me to whitelist domains; the only reliable whitelist that will work is turning the function off altogether! Honestly, I don't understand why they won't configure it to allow a lower setting that would actually be usable. Ok it will let some spam through. I wouldn't mind that. False positives are the real problem.

Seriously looking for an alternate supplier; primary reason I'm here on this site looking for an alternative...
