Have had fibre from Cambridge Fibre for just a few days now. *Updated after 2 months of use*
Things to know
===========
- There was a 4-month lead-time between ordering and getting the install.
- They don't have much in the way of communication whilst waiting for your install, so don't be afraid to e-mail them, they do reply.
- Install costs £125 and includes a fancy Linksys Wi-Fi Router (that I'm not using as I have my own router).
- They provide you with an 1 gigabit Ethernet connection from their ONT, you can't connect directly using Fibre to your router, (but that's not a big deal).
Speeds
======
Their service provides the advertised speeds just fine (I've gone with the 600/300 option for the first 12 months but may drop back down to the 200/100 option once the initial discount ends); I'm consistently getting 580/305 Mbps in speedtests.
Reliability
=======
Rock-solid; none of the occasional wobbles I've had with previous ISPs and even the jitter on ping times is incredibly low. I'm even finding that I'm getting lower and more stable ping times (2ms!) to my SIP provider than I can get to some of the Wi-Fi devices in my house!
Additionally if you e-mail them they are quite willing to talk to you as they are a local company and not a large anonymous corporation.
