Title: Plusnet ADSL just awful!
Plusnet ADSL broadband is just awful in my area…. Pretty much every ISP I tried in this area is.

BT DSL checker says my line range is 4.5mbps to 6.5mbps however I only get 2mbps to 3.7mbps via Ethernet (if I am lucky) Wi-Fi speed is worse! The router is connected to the master socket, my socket has no phone or extension etc but sadly whatever I do I just can’t improve the speed, I bought decent routers and still no improvement (There routers/modem are crap and so restrictive, YOU can’t even change DNS ffs!!?). I did at one point get 5mbps to 5.5mbps (pretty good considering how awful my exchange is) but this is no longer the case. BT engineer who came last week told me the speed was capped at 4mbps so he made a call to get it unrestricted.
I can’t stream videos without buffering sometime videos at 360p to 460p buffers. Been with them since 2009 and even went on to fibre when they introduced it which was also crap and now I am finally saying goodbye. Years of frustration calls and complaints has taken a toll. I didn’t really bother to move sooner due to our BT exchange being about 1+mile in cable distance (BT engineer told me) going to try out Fibre again but I if I get less than 38mbps with Fibre I will have to find other ways to get internet. Virgin don’t operate cable in my area….. So not a options…. My only hope is Relish 4G Broadband to cover my area soon. The Poplar exchange is awful to put it politely. This is London and we have piss poor broadband speed worse than villages and all we hear the scrounging politicians waffling about is improving lives with technology blah blah blah investing in fast internet blah blah yet no substance. This is the financial hub and people suffer piss poor internet speed ffs! Sometime my connection drops to 0.28mbps (worse than old dial up ffs)

Plusnet, BT, TalkTalk (We will all do YOU!)
