I migrated from Pipex to PlusNet last July - day proposed sale to Tiscali was announced.

I've been more than happy with my choice of a new ISP ( I was with Pipex for over 5 years) and have subsequently transferred my phone line to them.

When I migrated I also moved from a 2Mb fixed speed connection to max and, albeit over 3km from exchange, have been getting a stable 6Mb for quite some time. 

From having a limited customer portal, at Pipex, it's really nice to see proper details of my usage and other account details and also have a ticket system should it be needed.

The community site is very handy as is http://usergroup.plus.net/home.php.

I've not really needed much contact with customer services but when I have I've found them to be both contactable and helpful.

Overall a good ISP that has sufficient  confidence to only require a monthly contract.
