Have been with Zen since Oct'07. Before that, 2 years with PiPex [good than progressively to bad] and a miserable year with Tiscali.

Zen is rather expensive compared with other ISPs. What is important to you? Cheap subscription fee, unreliable speed, poor service which generates high level of stress and time-wasting.

Or slighly higher fee that includes stress -free service, reliable connection and a descent speed?

Since being with Zen, I have had no reason to complaint.

I rated their 'value' as 10 having taken account of the 'stress free' environment.
