Point Topic, in cooperation with Gavurin, has released a new website to help frame the current state of regional broadband uptake and performance in the UK. Access to the data on the G-View site is free and only requires an email address to login:

In the above picture Point Topic has divided the country into three segments. In High Speed Heaven you can achieve 8Mbps+ today, Average Access is between 2Mbps and 8Mbps and Slowband Land suffers from less than 2Mbps achievable.

We've also been able to get our hands on the full regional broadband performance report from Opal, which yesterday (original news) touted Central London (EC, WC and W postcodes) as being the fastest UK city with half of the areas businesses able to achieve a connection of between 8 - 24Mbps.
