Opal Names Central London as Fastest Broadband City
By: MarkJ - 11 March, 2009 (2:00 PM)

Business ISP Opal (TalkTalk), which recently launched a new up to 24Mbps ADSL2+ based broadband service from 10 per month, has published a new report on regional broadband speeds. The study found that Central London (EC, WC and W postcodes) lead the way with almost half of the city's businesses able to achieve a connection of between 8 - 24Mbps.

Belfast reportedly came a close second, followed by Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. Even the likes of Wigan and Blackpool did well, although the CommsDealer summary was not specific about how well. We have requested a copy of the full report and are awaiting its delivery.
