Vodafone UK's business division has reportedly removed its overseas Mobile Broadband packages from sale and is preparing to introduce several new data roaming tariffs sometime in the next few days. The old
Euro Travel (£60 per month) and
World Travel (£95 per month) packages included 200MB of monthly roaming data usage.
The
BroadbandGenie site reports that a "
lack of take-up" is to blame for the removal, although no hints are given as to precisely what will replace them. Internet data usage outside of the UK remains ridiculously expensive and it would be a major step forward if the new packages made non-UK roaming Internet usage economically viable.
