UK Wi-Fi Hotspot operator BT Openzone has signed a new three-year agreement with SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, to allow related passengers free wireless broadband access via the new co-branded SkyTeam alliance lounge at London Heathrow’s (Airport) Terminal 4.
Francesca Freeland, lead for SkyTeam Heathrow Airport team said: “The premium lounge was designed to offer customers a superior experience that meets their individual needs, and with complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, passengers can stay connected while awaiting departure. Opening the first level of the lounge is extremely significant for SkyTeam as we become one step closer to transforming Terminal 4 at London Heathrow into the first-ever airport facility truly centred around the alliance and its passengers.”
The SkyTeam service is free, though travellers can also connect at more than 50,000 sites worldwide through BT’s roaming partners using the BT international Wi-Fi voucher. This costs £28 for 500 Wi-Fi minutes over 14 days.
