Broadband.co.uk has released its latest anecdotal monthly broadband speed testing results for November 2009. It shows that the average UK broadband download speed for the largest ten ISPs has remained largely unchanged since October and currently stands at 4.367Mbps.
Cable giant Virgin Media once again retained its position as the fastest broadband ISP for downloads, holding a strong average speed of 7.214Mbps. Meanwhile 2nd place holder O2 ( including Be Broadband ) regained a bit of speed from its October low of 5.019Mbps to hit 5.177Mbps in November.

ISP O2 UK ( Be Broadband ) remains the fastest UK ISP for upload performance on a high result of 0.765Mbps and AOL UK is yet again bottom in both charts. The average upload speed remained fairly stable over October and currently stands at 0.470Mbps.
Meanwhile Eclipse Internet crashed back from Octobers impressive download rate of 3.899Mbps to hit a lowly 2.784Mbps this month. Its upload rate was also reduced slightly from 0.426Mbps to 0.393Mbps over the same period. We do not know the reason for this sudden spike and then subsequent fall.
