Home and business ISP Demon Internet (THUS Group, Cable & Wireless), which for the past few years has been in subscriber decline and is currently home to less than 100,000 customers, today announces plans to formally re-launch itself towards the end of next month (May 20th).
Little is known about what Demon plans to reveal, although we note that their website is already sporting a brand new style. There have even been some package changes; details for their cheapest package are as follows.
Home 2+ (£15.28 inc. VAT per month)
• Download speeds of up to 20Mbps
• Upload speeds of up to 1Mbps
• Unlimited email addresses
• Extra email security with protection against viruses, spam and phishing
• Free router
The package is apparently "
not subject to any formal usage restrictions", although a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) does apply; at the time of writing their FUP page did not appear to exist. We also note that Demon impose a lengthy 24 month contract.
