BSkyB ( Sky Broadband , Sky TV UK ) has launched its revamped range of cheaper broadband internet access packages today. This pushes the cost of its top "
truly unlimited" ISP package down from £10 to £7.50 per month when taken with FREE voice calls (£15 to £12.50 for those without the voice calls service).
The price cut is available to both existing (can upgrade from 2nd June) and new customers, though you will need to be a Sky TV subscriber to take advantage of these bundles (12 month contract also applies). The old 10Mbps
Everyday option is now consigned to the dustbin, with only a faster low-end
Everyday Lite option to replace it.
We should add that the inferior
SkyBroadband Connect package, which is available to those in BT-only areas, continues to be available. It offers speeds of up to 8Mbps at a price of £17 per month with a £30 set up for existing Sky TV customers. This package has a monthly usage cap of 40GB and is subject to a Traffic Management Policy; Sky does not openly promote it.
