BSkyB UK ( Sky Broadband ) has launched a new "
fairytale" bundle for just £19 per month that combines a 20Mbps broadband connection with satellite TV (2 Entertainment Packs) and Sky Talk's Free evening and weekend UK landline calls. This includes a Free Sky+ TV box, Free set-up and a £50 M&S voucher when you join online.
But of potentially more interest is the fact that the popular 20Mbps Sky Broadband Unlimited internet access package can now be purchased
separately from Sky TV for just £10 per month. In other words you don't need to be an existing Sky TV customer to take the package, though you do need to take its
Sky Talk Freetime service instead.
Standalone Sky Broadband Unlimited - £10 per month
* Up to 20Mb download speeds
* Unlimited monthly usage
* Free evening and weekend UK calls
* Sky wireless router (worth £50)
* 24/7 technical support
* Free 12 month trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite
The service is advertised on Sky's website as being £7.50 per month, which only applies when you take it with both Sky TV and Sky Talk Freetime. When taken with Sky Talk and NO Sky TV the price rises to just £10 per month. It's worth noting that Sky Talk is just a free calls package (no line rental to pay, unless you want it of course), which effectively makes the service standalone. A 12 month contract applies.
