Broadband.co.uk has released its latest anecdotal monthly broadband speed testing results for the past month of September 2010, which saw the
average UK ISP internet download speed remain fairly unchanged at

Cable operator Virgin Media continues to be the
fastest UK broadband provider for average download speeds, although its performance dropped sharply during September from 9.626Mbps in August to 9.053Mbps now (it reached 10.041Mbps in July 2010).
Popular ISP O2 ( Be Broadband ) remains in
2nd place on 5.385Mbps, which is also lower than their previous result of 5.806Mbps. However the biggest news this month is that Eclipse Internet has somehow managed to jump from 3.597Mbps to 5.046Mbps over the same period.
