New research, which is based off
48,408 internet speedtests conducted between March and August 2010, has revealed that Liverpool (England) is the
fastest city for broadband access with an average download rate of 7.72Mbps (Megabits per second). By contrast Dumfries (Scotland) was the slowest at just 2.89Mbps.
