UK ISP Eclipse Internet has announced the release of its new
Fibre Availability Map, which shows which telephone exchanges have been upgraded to support BT's latest superfast 'up to' 40Mbps
Fibre-to-the-Cabinet ( FTTC ) broadband services (
coloured green). It also visualises which exchanges will be upgraded to support the new service during 2011 and 2012.
Unfortunately the map is naturally restricted by the limited amount of data that BT gives out, which fails to include crucial street cabinet coverage. As a result it's not that useful for trying to guage geographic coverage but is still easier than looking through their text-based rollout database.
