Business internet provider
Internet Central has been awarded the
ISO 27001 certification for its
Information Security Management System (ISMS), which effectively means that the ISP is now even better at keeping its customer data and confidential information secure.
Maitland Hyslop, Internet Central's MD, said:
"We recognise and understand that the security of our customers' data is of vital importance. With this independent accreditation our customers can be confident that we have the necessary measures and internal procedures in place to protect their data and minimise any potential security risks.
The ISO accreditation confirms our status as a company capable of internationally recognised standards and we are pleased that our dedication to excellent customer service and security has been recognised.
It also supports Internet Central's corporate objectives, while reinforcing a culture of excellence. As Internet Central continues to expand, the ISO quality framework will also assure customers that they will continue to receive the highest quality products and consistent service from Internet Central. We are therefore rightfully proud of this award and the work that's gone in to achieving it."
Fewer than
500 companies in the UK have been awarded ISO 27001, which required Internet Central to submit itself for a thorough procedure to demonstrate their information security management systems (the process was audited by awarding body ISOQAR Ltd.).
