Communications and networking provider
Entanet, which is also responsible for supplying several smaller UK
vISP's (
Virtual ISPs) with internet access services, has today launched an expanded portfolio of 'up to' 40Mbps (2Mbps uploads) capable
Family and
Business focused superfast FTTC broadband packages.
Entanet states that its partner ISPs can now offer
five new Family options, which will come with usage allowances of between 30GB and 180GB (GigaBytes). The recommended selling prices should start at £21.58 excluding VAT (£25.89 inc. VAT).
Entanet’s Head of Marketing, Darren Farnden, said:
"Entanet partners can now provide high quality FTTC connections in a range of competitive packages, delivered across our fully-resilient and robust national next-generation network. Whilst some have been providing FTTC connections in a limited number of standard package options for several months, this launch provides them with a more competitive portfolio of services to satisfy a variety of user requirements.
As demand for high speed connectivity continues to grow, Entanet partners can now efficiently and cost-effectively cater for these requirements, providing them with numerous opportunities to increase their revenues and retain and attract customers."
Entanet claims to have "
taken time to carefully analyse the current FTTC offerings on the market" and hopes that its new offers will be attractive to customers of their various vISP's. Sadly BT's tight hold over FTTC, not to mention the economics of scale impact, still means that most third party ISPs are unlikely to beat BT and PlusNet UK's prices anytime soon.
