Reputable ISP Zen Internet has added two new features to its existing
Home Talk (line rental and cheaper calls) product, which costs from £11.22 per month with a one month contract and can be taken either standalone or as part of a broadband bundle. The new features include a
1571 Answer Phone and
Call Barring service.
The 1571 Answer Phone service is fairly self explanatory and aims to ensure that users never miss an important call or message. Meanwhile the new range of Call Barring options offers Talk subscribers the ability to restrict outgoing calls but always allows calls to the emergency services.
Andrew Saunders, Zen's Head of Product Management and Marketing, said:
"These new features have been added in response to customer feedback and as part of our ongoing development of our phone services. Home Talk and Business Talk products aim to provide calls packages that see our customers save considerable amounts on their phone bill quickly and easily.
They also provide our customers with the confidence that these services come with the same high level of service and support as Zen’s award winning broadband."
Zen's basic Home Talk package still charges for calls, although their rates are lower than BT's standard charges (thanks in part to per second billing and the removal of a minimum call setup / connection fee). An additional option,
Home Talk Plus, does however bundled 1000 inclusive minutes and cheaper international call rates.
