Communications provider
Entanet UK, which supplies a number of smaller ISPs with BT and
BE Wholesale based internet access solutions, has announced the
expansion of its portfolio to include a new range of superfast
Fibre-to-the-Premise ( FTTP ) based fibre optic broadband services with download speeds of up to
110Mbps (30Mbps uploads).
The new additions also come with several
usage allowance options that range from
15GB to 360GB (GigaBytes) per month, with unmetered (uncharged bandwidth) available from 8pm and 12am respectively, until 8am Monday to Friday.
Entanet’s Head of Sales, Stephen Barclay, said:
"With our FTTC services already proven to be hugely popular amongst our channel partners, adding FTTP to this portfolio will enable them to take advantage of even more market opportunities.
Connectivity options in the UK are growing prolifically and these products serve a segment of the market that is increasingly demanding higher speeds to run applications, combine video with voice and distribute essential bandwidth consuming files. Our partner sales and provisioning teams are assisting partners extensively right now."
Entanet will offer the new FTTP products alongside their existing FTTC services with download speeds of up to 40Mbps, 100Mbps or 110Mbps. Upload speed options will range from 2Mbps, 10Mbps, 15Mbps and all the way up to 30Mbps on their top tier FTTP service.
It's important to point out that FTTP technology has only recently launched and currently suffers from extremely limited coverage, although BT's future
FTTP on Demand service could change all that. Entanet's vISP partners are expected to start offering the new packages imminently, at which point we should be able to get a better idea of the consumer pricing.
