Keep On Roaming add EU roaming feature to multi-operator UK eSIM plan
Mobile travel-focused eSIM provider Keep On Roaming has informed ISPreview that their Sidekick plan, which is designed to act as a backup for your main UK mobile plan and gives you access to EE, O2, Vodafone and Three UK when your main mobile service isn’t available, has now added support for roaming across the EU, EEA and Switzerland “at no extra cost“.
At present there are a handful of virtual mobile providers that can provide consumers with 4G and 5G mobile data (mobile broadband) plans than can automatically harness the 4G and 5G networks of EE, Three UK, Vodafone, and O2 through a single eSIM. Some examples include Fuse Mobile and the Anywhere eSIM, but many of those are usually only focused on roaming between UK networks.
The same was true for the Sidekick plan until 18th September 2026, when Keep On Roaming made it possible for those on this multi-operator UK plan to also harness their data allowance while roaming across the EU, EEA and Switzerland at no extra cost.

At present three Sidekick plans currently exist, which will set you back £3.75 for 5GB (GigaBytes) of data on a 12-month term, £10 for 20GB or £18 for 50GB. You can also take these on a short rolling 30-day term for a few pounds extra per month. But the fact you can now use this allowance while roaming across Europe is obviously a useful improvement. There’s also a 30-day free trial if you want to try it first.

Keep On Roaming® operates a fair use policy for unlimited plans. The fair use policy is 1 GB per 24-hour period. If you exceed this, your plan will be throttled to 512 kbps until the next 24-hour period. The 24-hour period starts from the activation of the eSIM and resets every 24 hours for the duration of your plan.
At reduced speeds, everyday activities such as messaging, basic web browsing and navigation will still work, but data-intensive activities such as high-definition streaming may become impractical until your allowance resets.

The fair usage policy only applies to our older unlimited travel sims, it does not apply to Sidekick. We will be updating the policies shortly to account for this.
Looks interesting. Where does the traffic break out — via the local network, or in some central country?
This is good. I did ask them on Reddit hwo they could be UK only but have a name all about roaming – this was a week ago.
Probably give this a punt to run alongside my primary Smarty eSIM as Three coverage can be a bit spotty around Northumberland & North Tyneside and I’ll be visiting Corfu in a week.
