The annual uSwitch.com Broadband Awards 2015, which took place last night at The Gherkin in London, have unveiled a variety of winners across multiple categories for broadband, TV, phone and mobile services. Top among the winners was Virgin Media, which took three awards for Best Customer Rated Broadband, Fastest Broadband and Best Broadband Provider.
Apparently the winners were voted on by 3,000 consumers – in a OnePoll survey conducted during December 2014 (including some input from uSwitch’s own broadband speed testing system) – and a judging panel of eight journalists, although the link that’s supposed to reveal who the journalists are currently redirects back to uSwitch’s awards page. In any case the results are as follows.

However it should be said that the original nominees list for the uSwitch awards only includes the markets largest providers, which is perhaps to be expected given how uSwitch doesn’t appear to list any smaller ISPs on their website. We would have also liked to see some detail and rational for how the various results were arrived at.
