Sky Mobile Wins Big at the 2021 Expert Reviews Awards

award golden cup for top broadband isp

Consumer site Expert Reviews has posted the winners of their annual ‘Mobile Network Awards’ event, which surveyed their readers in an effort to identify the best UK Mobile Network Operators across a range of different categories. But in the end, Sky Mobile (Sky Broadband) ended up winning every single category, with giffgaff and Tesco Mobile being runners-up in different areas.

The results stemmed from a reader questionnaire, which was hosted on the Expert Reviews website (see for full results), although it should be noted that this was based on a tiny sample size of just 987 people. Each respondent was then asked whether they would recommend their network to others and rate aspects of their customer service on a scale from “Very Dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied.”

As a side note, the survey also revealed that just 18% of respondents currently own a 5G phone and almost 64% of those individuals claim to have noticed almost no change in mobile broadband speeds during daily life, although it’s not something that everybody seeks to test and mobile services tend to be less demanding. Elsewhere, 51% of 5G users said that their 5G phone rarely connected to a 5G network, which is hardly surprising given the current levels of coverage.

    They are all O2 MVNOs.

    1. Avatar photo New_Londoner says:

Which is weird given that the O2 network consistently ranks third or fourth best and has done for a number of years.

Surely you don’t think any of these are genuine right…. its just affiliate crap…

People will beleive what they read but don’t mean it’s true.

It’s like an older website cable.co.uk, used to be Broadband news site, even published a stroy with me regarding major issues with a certain cable provider in a certain south east area of the UK, but then a few years later starts posting in favour of ISP’s and before you knew it my story was removed from the archives.

Now they seem to be another comparison, data collecting website.

No time for any of them.

The competition must be poor than as my Sky/O2 chip is constantly reporting no signal!

  3. Avatar photo Richard says:

I have 3 sims. Cheap, fast data and as good as the rest.

  4. Avatar photo A says:

Not particularly useful information, the sample size of people is tiny and the “would you recommend us” question isn’t useful when many dont have a point of comparison as they haven’t used another provider in years.

  5. Avatar photo Bubbles says:

Sky is absolutely abysmal wherever I go. B40 does nothing either. How the hell did this happen. Giffgaff and Tesco and the worst though. PLEASE add 4G calling, I’m sick to death of people sounding muffled over the phone

      Suggestion for you.
      Swap network!

    2. Avatar photo Paul says:

Could be worse could be on three
